Hawk Rx – Flash card app for iPhone

Background

Hawk Rx is a pharmaceutical flash card application with a focus on memorization of brand name to generic name. It was developed by two Universitity of Iowa alumni (an engineer and a pharmacist) in an effort to help aspiring pharmacists prepare for their NAPLEX exam.

 

Description of the App: A flash card app with the top 250 available drugs. The user may choose to be prompted with either the brand name, or generic name of a drug and the back side will include the opposite. In addition, dose, therapeutic class and side effects are also listed. The app includes functionality for 2 decks of cards. A “Main deck” as well as a “Revisit deck” for revisiting difficult cards at a later time.
